ABOUT AIKIDO

Founder Morihei Ueshiba, when he was young, studied and mastered many Japanese martial arts, and researched further by himself. Through his study and research, his natural talent bloomed, and he created Aikido.

Kisshomaru Ueshiba, second Doshu (Master of the Way), focused on bringing Aikido to the whole world; it is because of his work spreading Aikido that we are able to practice here today.

Aikido has no competition.

Aikido’s aim is to be a life-long study. Through life-long study, you can find the secret heart of Aikido techniques, and cultivate your spirit and mind.

Observers are welcome.

Those wishing to train as visitors (evening classes) should bring their Aikikai membership card or Yudansha card, or be a member of USAF.
